Hiatus Is Finally Over

To all my dear blog friends new and old,

It has been a difficult time for me this past month. Lots of losses to deal with but I'm feeling better now in part because of the new puppy we acquired. He's keeping me on my toes and helping me see all the funny things that for the past several weeks have been eluding me.

I will be posting again as of February 1. Hopefully you will come back and visit.

Thank you all for your kind comments, e-mails and prayers during this time. It makes me realize just how lucky I am to have forged some of these new friendships sight unseen.

The Newest Member Of The Family!

"Miles" is 9 weeks old and has decided that he would make a fine replacement for our poor Charlie who went to spend time with my dad in heaven or hell (depending on which rumors you'd like to believe).

He is just a sweetheart, good natured and has so far only crapped in the house twice.

Okay my blogger friends, this is big news. On January 1 my dad died. On January 11 my dog had to be put to sleep and today my beta fish died. I guess that makes us all safe if it's true that bad luck comes in 3's. I've been teary eyed for the last two weeks but tonight when I was sitting in front of my computer trying to think of something funny to write I came across this video and I started to howl. Thank God for these wonderful creatures!

Some States Use Visual Aid To Stop Driving Distraction

For many commuters, conducting business while en route to work has become a way of life, but officials in various cities across the United States are trying to get the message across that dialing and driving can be bad for your health.

Coroners have reported that they have seen an increase of fatal accident victims on their tables whose cellular devises have become embedded in the hands of disassociated drivers.

The new signs are being posted as fast as they can be produced as part of a driving safety campaign but some officials are worried that the signs themselves will increase safety hazards as people strain to read them as they clip along the highway.
