New Car Smell Adopted By Designers
There's nothing like the smell of a new car, according to one fashion designer.
Taking her cue from car manufacturers, she has adopted the new car fragrance for her fall line of leather frocks, according to Phashionista Magazine.
When asked why she chose this scent her comment was, "Men like to shop for their wives, girlfriends or both and we all know that the smell of a new car is irresistible."
Critics of the new line of leather dresses say that her tactics may cause a lot of marital unrest because not everyone can afford the pricey apparel.
"We believe this will cause married men to start wandering if they get a whiff of a woman that happens to pass them by on the street or sits next to them at a restaurant," the spokesman said.
Men's groups across the U.S. rebuke the critics and say that even if they wander it will likely be temporary and will not interfere with their marriages.
"Men have always liked to test drive new cars but that doesn't mean we automatically trade in the old model for the new one," he said. "It's a proven fact that that new car smell eventually wears off and you're stuck with just another car that doesn't necessarily turn you on any more."
